The results indicated that an increased percentage of neutrophils (%) (OR [95% CI] = 1.082 [1.014, 1.155], p = 0.018), elevated IL-6 (OR [95% CI] = 1.026 [1.003, 1.050], p = 0.028), and decreased CDCA (OR [95% CI] = 0.978 [0.960, 0.996], p = 0.018) at admission were independent risk factors for the severe progression of COVID-19 in elderly patients (Table 2).
