Clinically, EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) therapies have been shown to be effective in late-stage (advanced) EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients [11,12,13,14], and the surgical removal of tumor is still the standard option for early-stage NSCLC patients [8,15]. Here, EGFR is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
