Although our previous study demonstrated a positive correlation between MICA expression and infiltration of NK cells and CD8+ T cells in HCC [15], some studies showed that higher MICA expression in HCC was connected with unfavorable prognosis [17] and that antitumor immunity was attenuated by hydrolytic shedding of MICA mediated by macrophages [18]; thus, we subsequently investigated the relationship between MICA and EHHADH with macrophages. Here, CD8A is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
