The analysis of macrophage polarization showed that TAMs isolated from ascites of primary HGS-OC are represented mainly by M1 macrophages (CD14+/CD80+/Glut1+ cells) with a higher M1/M2 ratio than patients with endometriosis and other OC histotypes, such as endometrioid and clear cells (2.5 ± 0.7 vs. 0.8 ± 0.3 vs. 0.9 ± 0.4, respectively, p = 0.019). This evidence concerns the gene CD80 and endometriosis.
