The percentage of M1 cells (CD14+/CD80+/Glut+) was significantly lower in endometriosis and in other OC histotypes than in serous papillary carcinoma (23.7 ± 7.9 and 28.6 ± 10.8 vs. 56.7 ± 12; p = 0.038) and the percentage of M2 cells (CD14+/CD163+) was significantly higher in endometriosis and in other OC histotypes than in HGS-OC (49.9 ± 11.8 and 52.7 ± 15 vs. 34 ± 11; p = 0.047) (Table 2). The gene discussed is CD163; the disease is papillary serous cystadenocarcinoma.
