Specifically, patients with AAA had higher plasma levels of HE4 (13.594 ± 10.702 vs. 11.889 ± 17.952 ng/mL, p < 0.0001), MMP-3 (22.138 ± 15.794 vs. 15.894 ± 10.879 ng/mL p < 0.0001), BAFF/BLyS (921.7 ± 421.3 vs. 838.6 ± 518.1 pg/mL, p = 0.0014), and Cathepsin S (3.728 ± 1.683 vs. 3.424 ± 1.388 ng/mL, p = 0.0156) (Table 2). Here, WFDC2 is linked to triple-A syndrome.
