‘s study suggested that TFF1 methylation levels were elevated in the peripheral tissues of ESCC patients (65 cases) compared with healthy esophagus of non-cancerous individuals (88 cases), and the sensitivity and specificity of TFF1 methylation to distinguish ESCC patients from healthy esophagus was 78.3% and 90.9% (138).
