Examples include an 8-week yoga intervention in women with fibromyalgia that led to an increase in diurnal salivary CORT area-under-the-curve (54), a 10-week attachment-based intervention with toddlers in foster care showing atypically low morning salivary CORT was associated with an increased CORT response to a caregiver-separation challenge (55), and an 8-week stress coping intervention in adolescent Syrian refugees that led to increased hair CORT levels in a subset of individuals with pre-existing CORT hyposecretion (16). This evidence concerns the gene CORT and fibromyalgia.
