Recently, various studies have also reported an increase in inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α, IFN-I, IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12, IL-16, IL-17, IL-18, IL-22, IL-23, and IL-27, and chemokines, such as MCP-1, MIP-1a, CCR2, RANTES, IP-10, and CXCL10, in GBS patients' serum/CSF [138]–[141]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Guillain-Barre syndrome.
