Previous studies have shown that overexpression of the OTX1 gene is associated with the progression of various cancers, including glioma [63], ovarian cancer [64], cervical cancer [65], laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma [66], and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma [67], suggesting that OTX1 may be an oncogenic driver.
