Among the endogenous antioxidants, higher albumin levels showed an association with a lower risk of developing T1DM (OR = 0.821, 95% CI = 0.679–0.993, Figure 2), and no significant associations were identified for Cu/Zn‐SOD, Mn‐SOD, EC‐SOD, bilirubin, catalase, HO‐1, and urate. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
