We have identified three Gln transporters, SLC1A5, SLC7A5, and SLC38A1, which meet three criteria: (i) their genetic silencing increases radiosensitivity in three analyzed PCa cell lines, (ii) their expression levels significantly correlate with clinical outcome of the patients with PCa, and (iii) their expression levels are upregulated in at least one PCa model with acquired radioresistance (Fig. 2A, Supplementary Fig. 2A-D, and Supplementary Fig. 3ABC). The gene discussed is SLC1A5; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
