Binary logistic regression analyses demonstrate an association between global methylation patterns of the MAPT (OR = 1.182, 95% CI = 1.029–1.197, p = 0.007) and SNCA (OR = 1.243, 95% CI = 1.067–1.448, p = 0.005) genes and PD. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Parkinson disease.
