Gender-stratified regression showed that MAPT methylation was significantly associated with PD exclusively in men (OR = 1.182, 95% CI = 1.041–1.342, p = 0.010), whereas SNCA methylation was significantly associated with PD only in women (OR = 1.337, 95% CI = 1.044–1.713, p = 0.021). This evidence concerns the gene SNCA and Parkinson disease.
