Specifically, a 2022 cohort study demonstrated that consistent with genome‐wide CHIP analyses, TET2 mutations strongly associate with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (including stroke), driven by NLRP3 inflammasome‐mediated IL‐1β overproduction—a key mechanism in CHIP‐related cardiovascular mortality (HR = 1.93, p = 0.006) [9].
