Significant reduction was observed at the serum levels of malondialdehyde and Fork head Box O3 (FOXO3) protein (transcription factor expressed by regulatory T-cells), with decreasing effects also at the expression of Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein (MCP1)-1/CCL2 and TGF-β (tumor growth factor β), offering promising findings for RA inhibition. This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and rheumatoid arthritis.
