A secondary objective of this study was to determine the levels of metabolic and inflammatory markers implicated in inflammation, such as IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-7, and TNF-α [33,34,35,36,37,38], along with markers of metabolic dysfunction, including adiponectin, leptin, resistin, lipocalin, and MCP-1 [37,38], in the blood samples collected from the participants in the presence of DD (Table S2, Supplementary Material). This evidence concerns the gene RETN and dentin dysplasia.
