Using immunohistochemical assays, another study discovered that although CD3+ T cells and SMA+ fibroblasts were evenly spread in chronic pancreatitis (CP) and PDAC, CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were notably lower in number, while CD25+(CD4+) as well as FoxP3+(CD4+) regulatory T cells were elevated in PDAC. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and chronic pancreatitis.
