Since several pieces of evidence corroborate the role of HERVs in MS pathogenesis and the concentration levels of anti‐HERV‐K, ‐W, and MOG antibodies of serum and CSF correlate positively, we believe that serum anti‐HERVs and anti‐MOG could be used as biomarkers for MS disease. This evidence concerns the gene MOG and myeloid sarcoma.
