ANO6 is a protein found in the cell membrane that has been linked to various forms of cancer, such as glioma,[27] pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma,[40] gastric adenocarcinoma,[41] lung adenocarcinoma,[42] and neuroblastoma.[43] Despite previous studies indicating that ANO6 is less active in breast cancer, a comprehensive understanding of its specific mechanism of action in this malignancy is still lacking. The gene discussed is ANO6; the disease is breast cancer.
