METTL3 and other regulators of m6A are dysregulated in a range of other neurological conditions, including stroke, TBI, Huntington disease, and Alzheimer disease, and many studies have shown direct reorganization of the m6A epitranscriptome following deliberate or disease-related changes in m6A regulator proteins (24, 30, 41–44). The gene discussed is METTL3; the disease is Huntington disease.
