In tauopathies, TRiC subunits such as CCT2, CCT3, CCT5, and CCT7 have been shown to inhibit tau aggregation (Ben-Maimon et al., 2025; Chen et al., 2018; Ma et al., 2022b) and we show here the dramatic CCT2-mediated protection against tau toxicity in transgenic flies (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and tauopathy.
