CELF2 influences the alternative splicing of genes related to aging and angiogenesis, and four hub genes (CXCL2, CXCL10, IL-1A and IL-6) were confirmed to be significantly differentially expressed and closely related to DMED; additional research is necessary to elucidate the potential mechanisms involved in diabetes-induced ED. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and diabetes mellitus.
