NFKB1 and psoriasis: Glycyrrhizin, a triterpenoid saponin extracted from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice), has been reported to ameliorate psoriasis-like skin lesions by inhibiting TNF-α-induced inflammatory responses through the NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways, leading to decreased production of inflammatory cytokines (Xiong et al. 2015).
