TWIST1 and prostate carcinoma: As a repressor of EMT and stemness phenotypes, the binding of miR-145-5p in large quantities to lnc-ZNF30-3 diminishes its activity, resulting in the upregulation of TWIST1 and other pro-EMT factors, which subsequently activates EMT and enhances tumor stemness, thereby promoting the migration, invasion, and metastasis of prostate cancer cells (Le Hars et al., 2023).
