Numerous studies have compared the long-term effects of two ROP treatment methods, namely laser therapy and anti-VEGF injections, on the retinal structure, microvasculature, biometrics, and refractive error.[1,6,7,8,9,10] Scheimpflug imaging systems have facilitated a comprehensive comparison of the long-term effects of these two ROP treatment methods on the development of the anterior segment and the structural and biometric characteristics of treated eyes. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is retinopathy of prematurity.
