CXCR3 and leprosy: The here described integrative analysis indicates a significant link between the strong induction of cyto-/chemokines in contacts of patients with leprosy who are able to control M. leprae growth in vivo, and the expression of HLA-DR, CXCR3, and CCR4 on adaptive immune cells, including B cells, thereby identifying immune cell subsets in leprosy beyond the Th1/Th2 paradigm.
