We found that seven of the eight novel candidate genes—AKT1 (rank 3), NF1 (rank 5), OCA2 (rank 6), TP53 (rank 7), TYRP1 (rank 8), TYR (rank 9), and NRAS (rank 10)—are documented in both MalaCards and ClinVar, indicating established associations with melanoma or related conditions.
