Wang et al. reported that lysine acetyltransferase 2A (KAT2A, a member of the GCN5-related N-acetyltransferase superfamily) would together with the OGDH of α-KGDH complex to transfer the succinyl group to histone H3K79, and the succinylation of H3K79 can promote brain tumor growth in mice [29]. This evidence concerns the gene OGDH and brain neoplasm.
