Consistent with the above findings, inhibiting the lipase ATGL was specific to the activity of the PUFA linoleic acid, leading to an accumulation of lipid droplets (Fig. 4A, D, G), a decrease in intracellular free fatty acids (Fig. 4B, E, H), and rescued cells from its anti-tumor effects (Fig. 4C, F, I) in all three GBM lines.
