The AF-alb level (pg/mg alb) was higher in the deceased (GM and 95% CI: 5·9 (4·9 to 7·1)) than in those who were hospitalised and survived (4·2 (3·8 to 4·7)] or in the CP [3·7 (3·1 to 4·3)). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is atrial fibrillation.
