Phenotypically, Aiolos-deficient TVM cells displayed increased Eomes and CD122 expression, as well as enhanced production of IFN-γ and granzyme B. Using a murine model of influenza virus infection, we found that TVM cells contributed to reduced disease severity in Aiolos-deficient mice compared to WT animals, which manifested as lower weight loss and viral titers at early timepoints post-infection. Here, IKZF3 is linked to infection.
