To determine whether neuroinflammation is involved in ethanol-related AD pathology, we analyzed the pro-inflammatory cytokines, including Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) and Interleukin-1β (IL-1β), as well as anti-inflammatory markers such as Interleukin-10 (IL-10) and CD30 in the hippocampus of ethanol-treated AD mice.
