CDKN1A and lung carcinoma: The conversion of lycopene to apo‐10‐lycopenoic acid had significantly reduced lung cancer progression by lowering cyclin E and cell cycle modulation from the G1 to S phase, as well as by activating p21 and p27 (cell cycle regulating proteins) in NHBE (normal human bronchial epithelial cells), BEAS‐2B, and A549 lung cancer cells (von Lintig et al. 2020).
