ALB and transient ischemic attack: A large-scale cohort study using data from the Third China National Stroke Registry (CNSR-III) by Zhou et al. (2020) included 13,618 patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) or transient ischemic attack (TIA) and utilized multiple logistic regression models and Cox regression models to assess the association between serum albumin levels and clinical outcomes.3 They concluded that low serum albumin levels are independently predictive of poor functional outcomes and mortality in patients with AIS and TIA.
