Furthermore, our analysis revealed a significant correlation between inflammatory markers and different levels of obesity; specifically, individuals in the BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 group had higher levels of HSCRP, WBC, and NE compared to those in the BMI (25, 30) kg/m2 group, while ALB levels were lower in the former group (Supplementary Table S2). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
