NETs promote HCC metastasis by activating the tumor inflammatory response, and some researchers have used two anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin and hydroxychloroquine, to block the activation of cyclooxygenase 2 (COX2) and upstream TLR4/9 in combination with DNase I, and have demonstrated their promising effects in inhibiting HCC metastasis from multiple perspectives (181). This evidence concerns the gene PTGS2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
