Quercetin has demonstrated potential anti‐cancer properties by inhibiting cancer cell proliferation, inducing apoptosis and autophagy, and suppressing angiogenesis and metastasis through modulation of various signal transduction pathways, including MEK/ERK (Murakami et al. 2008), Nrf2/Keap1 (Tanigawa et al. 2007), PI3K/AKT/mTOR (Granato et al. 2017), and Wnt/β‐catenin (Srivastava and Srivastava 2019). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and cancer.
