To conclude, the gene expression of the proteins involved in the signaling pathways of the four asthma trigger proteins was analyzed (Table 4), finding a decrease of all of them in both asthma groups compared to HC, and in those elements common to the signaling pathways defined for AA and NA (RELA; SMAD3; NFATC1, TLR2 and ALOX5), this decrease was greater in the NA patient group (Table 5), in line with what was observed in the four triggers (Table 1). The gene discussed is SMAD3; the disease is asthma.
