Twelve mRNAs (AQP1, ELOVL7, ITPR3, KRT19, KRT23, LAMC2, MMP7, PROM1, SPINT1, STK39, TNFRSF21, and VTCN1) and fourteen lncRNAs play an important role in the occurrence and development of alcoholic hepatitis, and database validation shows that these genes are significantly upregulated in patients with alcoholic hepatitis, which provides further directions for the study of useful diagnostic markers and molecular mechanisms in alcoholic hepatitis. The gene discussed is STK39; the disease is alcoholic hepatitis.
