In this study, it was found that kzl052 significantly down-regulated the key protein expression of the replication fork (PCNA, RPA, and FEN1) and up-regulated Mre11 to cleave damaged DNA, suggesting that kzl052 inhibited the proliferation of PCa cells by affecting the stability of the replication fork (Figure 7). Here, MRE11 is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
