S100A8 and gastric cancer: Antibacterial properties of obtained compounds were evaluated against four H. pylori strains, including reference strains resistant to metronidazole and clarithromycin (ATCC 43504 and ATCC 700684, respectively), and reference-susceptible strains harboring the cagA gene (J99, cagA+), associated with an increased risk of gastric cancer, and the clinical multi drug-resistant strain cagA+(3CML, resistant to clarithromycin, metronidazole and levofloxacin).
