Breast cancers can be classified into different types based on the receptors expressed by the cancer cells, which are either hormone receptor-positive cancer cells (expressing estrogen and/or progesterone receptors), HER2/neu-positives (expressing erbB-2 receptors), or triple-negative breast cancer cells (TNBC, lacking the aforementioned receptors) [2]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
