Recent investigations have identified an inflammatory profile in the joint capsule of FS patients, characterized by the dysregulation of key cytokines such as interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 17 (IL-17), interleukin 10 (IL-10), interleukin 33 (IL-33), high mobility group B1 protein (HMGB1), C-reactive protein (CRP), and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) [15].
