In an rs-fMRI study of 34 newly diagnosed gliomas (WHO grade II–IV), patients with more aggressive tumors (higher grade or IDH-wildtype) exhibited greater impairment of whole-brain connectivity (Spearman’s ρ = 0.62, p < 0.001) than those with indolent tumors [19].
