Published microarray-based studies of AML patient samples (Gene Expression Omnibus datasets GSE1159, GSE12417, GSE37642, GSE6891, GSE8970 analyzed via the platform KM Plotter [106] https://kmplot.com/analysis/index.php?p=background, accessed on 30 October 2024), find that stratification of patients based on ALDH2 RNA expression yields a higher hazard ratio than stratification based on ALDH1A1 RNA expression, for both overall, event-free, and post-progression free survival in NPM1-mutant AML (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene ALDH1A1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
