More recently, condensate droplet formation during cellular stress responses, the regulation of translation and transcription, cancer pathogenesis through Tyr-phosphorylated STAT3 condensates and fusion oncoproteins leading to aberrant prooncogenic signaling, involvement of condensates in mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity, cytokine signaling, viral replication and antiviral mechanisms, and the targeting of condensates by cancer therapeutic agents have been highlighted by numerous investigators [12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21].
