We had previously observed that at 37 °C, in OECM1 oral carcinoma cells, cytoplasmic condensates of antiviral human GFP-MxA GTPase disassembled within 1–2 min of exposure of cells to saliva-like one-third hypotonicity, and underwent “spontaneous” reassembly in the next 5–7 min. Here, MX1 is linked to lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
