ALB and carotid atherosclerosis: The results indicated that a higher NIHSS score (RR = 1.076, p < 0.001) at admission, advanced age (RR = 1.026, p = 0.001), carotid atherosclerosis (RR = 1.756, p < 0.001), and elevated albumin levels (RR = 1.029, p = 0.047) at admission were associated with an increased rate of cerebrovascular events.
