In gene-pathway correlation analysis, IL-6, ZNF366 and GTF2B were significantly positive corelated with proteasome and ribosome pathway, while RETN was negatively correlated with proteasome pathway (P-values <0.05), this suggests that gene regulation in peripheral blood of DM R+ group is closely related to inflammation, and the use of insulin could reduce the level of peripheral blood inflammation (Fig. 5D). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and diabetes mellitus.
