To investigate the role of PinX1 in cancers, we examined the expression levels of PinX1 in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and GTEx database and found PinX1 was elevated both in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) and rectum adenocarcinoma (READ) compared with the normal tissues (Fig. 1, A and B). Here, PINX1 is linked to rectum adenocarcinoma.
