Like the Rsk family, the Aurora kinase family consists of serine/threonine kinases commonly overexpressed in cancers [35–38], and overexpression of Aurora kinase B correlates with poor prognosis in several cancers, including ovarian, osteosarcoma, thyroid, prostate cancer, and leukemia [39–44].
