In line with this perspective, previous studies from our laboratory identified Pla2g4e (encoding phospholipase A2 group IVE, also known as cPLA2ε) as a gene associated with cognitive resilience in experimental models of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), suggesting a potential role of Pla2g4e in supporting synaptic integrity and cognitive function under neurodegenerative conditions (3). Here, PLA2G4E is linked to Alzheimer disease.
